Jonathan's class didn't have anything for the parents, but Brigham's did.
Some of the kids were thrown off by all the people, but Brigham did just fine.
Brigham's teacher is amazing. She loves the kids and every time I've gone over she's bustling around doing the best for the kids. In one meeting I asked her if she knew what song Brigham had been singing because it didn't sound familiar to me. She started up the cd player so I could hear it and sing it at home.
She made a bag for all the kids to take home full of fun things to do like sidewalk chalk, bubbles, folders for them to practice their name, and even a little phone made out of pvc pipe so they can practice sounds and hear their voice.
There are several teachers aides so that the teacher/student ratio is about 2:1. They're always making cute projects which makes it really hard to decide what to keep and what to throw away when he gets home.
This has been great for him. It's fun watching him go about his routine in the classroom, he's knows exactly what to do. I'm glad he'll get to go back next year.
So fun, I can't believe it's going to be summer soon (especially since it keeps snowing)! I wouldn't know what it's like to have kids make projects since Sydney won't make anything in nursery, oh well:)
ReplyDeleteThis is where it starts. Turn around one day and he'll be a teenager. Not neccesarily a bad thing, just that much closer to empty nest.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the school year is over. Cute Brigham!
ReplyDeleteWell, Chris read your blog, and came in drooling at the mouth because he really wants a donut maker. I'm gonna have to get some info from you.
Sara, we have you guys for Christmas (don't we?) That's what we could get for you, if you want to wait that long!!!! Wait...maybe I have Kyle and Steph, who knows.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that does sound like a fabulous preschool for Brigham there, so glad you both like it!
The chocolate glazed donuts look fantastic, by the way!
Mmmm, donuts....
