A friend of mine that I play bass with offered to take Jaaromy and me shooting. He has quite the arsenal and let us try out a whole bunch of them. I knew some of my brothers would also like to try out several guns and so I invited them along. It was a lot of fun.
After a quick lesson on some basic gun safety, we put on our eye and ear protection and went to the range.
I'm so glad Heather came, otherwise I would have been the only girl.
Here's Nate giving Jaaromy a couple of pointers
Scott recently bought his own gun and he figured he and Heather should know how to use it.
It's good to have wholesome recreational activities to do together.
Nate helping me improve my aim. I wish I had taken a picture of my target, I was doing really well!
It was fun having my brothers there.
Yes, we were being silly, but I can assure you that we took the actual shooting very seriously.
That's right!
I can't wait to go again. The more we practice, the more comfortable we'll be and all the basic safety measures will feel more natural.

Some Fun Pictures
I had a couple of interesting photo opportunities recently and I thought I would share them.
The first one is when Jupiter and the moon were really close together one night. Thankfully, the night was clear.
The problem with the moon is it's so darn bright. The moon looks great, but you can barely see Jupiter.
This is probably the best middle ground without photoshopping.
To make Jupiter brighter makes the moon way too bright and the camera a little shaky. Still, it was fun to catch these pictures.
The next photo opportunity came when we had all that snow and then on top of that, we had freezing rain. I was picking up Nathaniel from the fitness center when I noticed how shiny all the snow was because of the rain and that it looked really neat under the street lights. I decided it would be awesome to take some pictures.
Everything just looked really cool.
Here is our lamppost and our funny little Christmas Tree decoration.
I can't decided if I like the horizontal one or the vertical one.
Winter was long, but it gave me a lot of fun things to take pictures of.
