Getting to Know Suki

We've had Suki now for a little over four months and she is now about seven months old.  Her age is really obvious too, she does the funniest things.

Here are some pictures of our first four months together.

Nathaniel and Jonathan just love her but it's taken Brigham a little longer to warm up to her.  He would talk about her but didn't really want to have anything to do with her.  One day in January when we had just picked up Nathaniel from orchestra, she climbed onto his lap to look out the window.  He wasn't really a fan of that.  I made Nathaniel take a picture.

She loves finding a place in the sun to sleep.

Unfortunately, the sun never seems to stay where she wants it.  This picture makes me laugh every time.

We finally took her to the groomers.  We had to wait because she had just had her surgery when we got her.  She was nice and clean and the groomers even put cute bows in her hair.

This is her favorite spot.  She seems to think she's about 100 lbs bigger than she is because she's ready to growl and bark at anyone who walks by.

When we first got her we got a crate and a pad for her to sleep on.  It didn't take long before it was ripped apart.  I bought her a new bed and she managed to rip that one open too.  I restuffed it and taped it shut but it was nothing to her and the following morning was just as messy.

This was the same day.  I could tell that she was going to be a pill that day.  My house feels messier since she came.  She loves to chew on things and so I let her chew on things that are going in the garbage anyway so my house is littered with tiny pieces of paper and cardboard.

Sorry this is kind of dark, but it's too funny.  She likes to make herself comfortable in blankets.  She will wiggle around like crazy on her back and make ridiculous snorting noises.  It's funny to watch.

She really good a standing on her hind legs, I wonder if she should be in the circus.  She isn't standing on them in this picture but her back legs are still prominent and it makes me laugh to see her tiny little legs straight out like that.

She loves to play and run around.  When she has played hard she pants, of course, and it's super cute.

Her favorite spot happens to be my favorite spot, so sometimes we share.

In the car, she likes Brigham's seat.

Unfortunately, sometimes Brigham is sitting in it.  They will sometimes share and Brigham is a little more comfortable with it.

My mom came over to visit and Suki loved it.  There's just something about grandmas that kids and dogs love.  She had no problem smelling up close.

Then she pulled back like this for some reason.  It makes me laugh every time.

It's been really fun having her in our family.  She's been really good for the boys and even for me and Jaaromy.  Nathaniel noticed that she's a lot of work, but she's also cute.  That pretty much sums up what it's like to have children so I'm proud of him for noticing. :)
