Jonathan was just about ready to earn his Wolf badge over the summer. I really wanted him to get it at Pack Meeting in August since orchestra was starting up again soon and I didn't want to miss either one. Well, I was going over his remaining achievements but there was one that I forgot and we wouldn't be able to complete in time for Pack Meeting. I was so mad at myself for letting it slip.
So, he earned it in September and I had to miss orchestra to be there. It worked out though, I was glad to be there.
Here is Jaaromy playing with Brigham to make him happy and keep him focused.
The kids played around a little bit before it started.
I will never get tired of taking close up pictures of Brigham, hope you don't mind.
After the awards we had the activity.
Jonathan was blind folded and had to listen to Jaaromy's simple directions to find his way through the obstacle course.
He did a great job.
Being in the gym, it was a perfect opportunity to try something with Brigham. He can actually run quite fast, but will only do so in the house. I wanted to see if I could get him to run at top speed in the gym.
Jaaromy helped him, but he never really got comfortable with it.
He still had fun running with Dad, and Jonathan joined in too.
I'm proud of Jonathan for earning his Wolf. He's doing a great job in Scouts and I'm glad I can be there to watch him grow.
Yea, Jonathan! I'm so glad you were able to miss orchestra for this important event. It is so good for kids to be recognized for achievement. The gym is such a fun place to run. Brigham will probably get better and better at it as he gets used to it. It looks like a very enjoyable time.
