We have never been to Discovery Gateway before, or rather, I should say we've never taken the kids there ourselves. I think they've been on field trips there before. But I have never been there. It's just so darn expensive. I suppose the zoo, and the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point is too, but it just seemed too much.
Anywho, Brigham's teacher sent home a coupon for $5 admission per person and we were so excited to take advantage of it.
The boys loved playing with the ball vacuum thing. We spent a lot of time there.
Brigham loved this horse. I think he spent a good 5 minutes on it. Brought back some summer memories.
Jaaromy decided to give the boys some practice in the store. This little boy didn't hesitate to participate.
I think this area might have been for toddlers, but these ladies were covering the sign so I couldn't be sure. There was only one other little boy there so I wasn't worried. I love that Jonathan feels right at home in the tree house.
I forgot to bring my camera so I had to use my phone, sorry for the poor picture quality. There were so many fun things to do that I didn't get a picture of. One of the first things we did was play with the stop motion animator. That was awesome. The boys loved making a little Mr. Potato Head show.
There was also the news studio, they loved that. Also, they really liked the helicopter on the roof. It was really loud but they loved it. I was actually a little surprised.
We had such a good time that I think it just might be worth the money to go again. We'll see.
I love that museum too. I am with you on the cost though! We have only been once and that was when we only had to pay for two children. It is a fun place and it looks like your family had an enjoyable time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place. I guess it's worth it (especially with discount tickets) if the kids have such a good time. I love those little shopping carts. They are called buggies here in Canada, and you have to put money in a little slot in order to use them.
