Family Pictures

I finally got around to arranging our family picture.  We ended up doing it the same day as the gingerbread houses.  We just came back that afternoon in our nice clothes.  I had the idea that we could take a picture in front of my parents' red fence.  It seemed sufficiently weathered that it might look cool.

This is the one I chose for our Christmas card, as many of you know.  I think it was the best.  It's hard to get the boys to smile naturally, or at all, so my mom suggested that they hold out their arms.  At least it made Jaaromy smile, but even though the boys aren't smiling, they do look more comfortable.  I like it.

We got some cute ones this way.

Smiling naturally is hard.  Some pictures are with my camera and some are with my dad's.  The first three are mine, this last one is my dad's.

We tried a few more poses with varying results.

I'd like to print one out to hang on our wall, but none of the pictures has everyone looking at the camera with a smile, or at least a non-silly face.  Maybe I need to redefine what the "perfect" family picture is.

I still like the first one.

I think a lot of them are pretty cute! I don't think there is a "perfect" family picture. These pictures make me smile!
