Brigham's Birthday

I've been behind on my blogging for a while, but rather than post once a day to catch up, I've decided to try and post once a week to catch up. So, as long as nothing exciting happens more than once a week, I'm sure I'll catch up in no time. That's the plan. But since I'm posting about Brigham's birthday a month late I might have to reconsider the effectiveness of my plan.

Brigham turned 5 a month ago yesterday and it was a great birthday. We took him to the planetarium the day before to see Secret of the Cardboard Rocket, the best show about planets ever, but they had stopped playing it. So we had to settle for Attack of the Space Pirates which is kind of really boring. The kids had fun anyway though, hopefully we'll be able to see our favorite show again someday.

So for Brigham's present, we decided to get him something that I've been meaning to get him for at least a year. For whatever reason, I never did.

Crayons! Well, not really, that was just part one.

A drawing easel! Seriously, I've been wanting to get him one forever, and it's finally happened.

He loves it. He's really been into drawing lately so maybe it's just as well that we didn't get this sooner. And can I just say how awesome these crayons are? They're dry erase crayons and I really just grabbed them when we bought the easel so he would have something to unwrap(I wasn't about to wrap the easel) but they turned out to be awesome. I don't have to worry about them drying up or keeping the caps on or anything. Just awesome.

They even came with this eraser mitt. It's so cute to see him erase with it.

It also has a chalkboard on the other side. Brigham's present was a favorite with everyone. We decided to keep it in his room instead of the toy room and almost every morning when I come a get him up I find him drawing. I'm so glad he likes it.

Afterwords Brigham blew out his candles and we all had tasty Cookie Brownies. Sorry if the picture is grainy. I grabbed it from the video because it was so cute.

We also celebrated his birthday with my family earlier in the month and Grandma Bonnie gave him an awesome bubble blower.

The boys loved it. Unfortunately, they loved it so much my floor started to get really sticky(what was I thinking) so they had to take it outside.

Happy Birthday Brigham! You are such a sweetheart and we love you.
