My day yesterday

I know it's been a while since I've posted, so I'm happy to report that Jonathan was nice enough to trip and fall on his face yesterday so that I would have a reason to post.

It started yesterday. I had gotten the boys off to school and had gotten back in bed and finally started to fall back asleep when I got a call from the school letting me know that Jonathan had fallen down at school and scratched his face up pretty good and he wasn't calming down and I should come and get him. I'm so tired of getting phone calls from the school, I'm not sure if it made it easier that at least it wasn't because he was sick or harder because he wasn't even sick! Either way, I was mad that I had to get out of my nice warm bed. I went down to the school in my plaid pants and slippers, which I never do under normal circumstances, and found my sweet little Jonathan looking like this:

Well, not exactly like this. He was much sadder at the time. He cheered up pretty quick after he got home and started playing Super Mario Galaxy. I actually didn't even think to take a picture except I was taking pictures of the flowers that Jaaromy got me. He asked me to take his picture so I did. I'm glad he asked.

So Jaaromy got me flowers yesterday. I had been feeling pretty depressed(maybe it was because my morning nap was interrupted by a call from the school) and mentioned it to Jaaromy through Instant Message while he was at work. So he took swift action and ordered me some flowers.

I, of course, was pleasantly surprised by the delivery and by the super cute vase they were in. I wasn't nearly as depressed after that. By the time they were delivered Jaaromy was home from work and so I was able to thank him immediately. Maybe that's why I was depressed, I just needed me some Jaaromy. :)

So that night we decided to take the kids to Wendy's and while we were out we saw the crescent moon and marveled at it's beauty. I decided that as soon as we got home I would take some pictures. I did and I think they're pretty cool.

First I took one with a really short exposure like I would if it were a full moon. Then I took one with a four second exposure.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I still don't have a lot of options with this camera, but there are still some fun things to do with it.

So, after a lot of boring days, I finally had one that was worth mentioning. Thanks for taking the time to read about it.

  1. Poor little guy! Why is it video games seem to cheer most boys (and a few men!) Your flowers were so pretty. Tell Jaar he needs to give some lessons to his little brother! Glad you got cheered up too!

  2. Those are not fun calls to get from the school. How thoughtful of Jaaromy to get you those cute flowers...perhaps he could send some "thoughtfulness" vibes Kevin's way!
Love love the moon pics! Isn't the sky amazing! Have you read the scriptures in D&C 88:45,47,49-50? If not, you should, they are my some of my very favorite!

Jonathan looks pretty cute, even with the bumps and scrapes. The flower pictures are great and sooo clear. Dad wants to know what the resolution was. The moon pictures are fantastic. How did you do it? Did you use a tripod? Obviously these questions are from Dad.

  5. Those flowers are so pretty! What a great husband you have, but that's too bad about Jonathan. He still has such a cute smile, even with abrasions across his face:)

  6. I don't know why it wouldn't let me make a comment until I finally had to do it "anonymously."
